About Alyson 
Alyson Lyon is a lifelong artist with a background in performance, writing and education. She holds a BFA from DePaul University's Theatre School and a M. Ed in Secondary Education from DePaul University's School of Education. Formally trained in makeup artistry at Makeup First Chicago, Alyson worked makeup in all media for close to a decade, informing her approach to layers, balance, color and texture. She also studied Figure Drawing at Palette and Chisel in Chicago.  Her art has been exhibited in Chicago and is held in private collections across the US.

In addition to her art practice, she's a professional actor (click here for my acting reel), award-winning screenwriter and has taught high school English + Theatre, Reiki and yoga.
